First of all, your cupcake is really cute because of its facial expression: it looks adorably sweet, friendly and calm. I also like the combination of the brown chocolate frosting and the red cherry on top since the colors create a nice contrast which highlights the cherry and creates another focus apart from the face. Placing the cherry slightly on the right side adds dynamic to the picture.
Yet there are some things which could be improved imho. By adding different shades you could make the cupcake stand out a lot more and make it look three-dimensional. Maybe you could also use a light texture either on the frosting or on the dough to make it look more naturalistic.
Summing up all of the above it's a really cute picture which might need a little more detail here and there.
